Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

Overview

ClearNord AS is committed to protecting personal data and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as implemented in Norway through the EEA Agreement.

This page provides information about ClearNord's approach to Data Processing Agreements and how such agreements will be made available once operational services are launched.

Current Status

At launch, ClearNord's website functions as an informational landing page only.

At this stage:

• ClearNord does not process customer documents or translation content
• No operational translation services are provided through the website
• No personal data is processed on behalf of customers as a data processor

As a result, a Data Processing Agreement is not currently required for use of the website.

Future Data Processing Agreements

When ClearNord begins providing operational translation or language-technology services, a Data Processing Agreement will be made available to customers prior to any processing of personal data.

The DPA will:

• Define ClearNord's role as data processor or data controller, as applicable
• Describe the nature, purpose, and duration of data processing
• Specify categories of personal data and data subjects
• Set out technical and organizational security measures
• Regulate the use of subprocessors
• Support audit and accountability requirements
• Comply with GDPR Article 28 and applicable EEA requirements

No customer data will be processed without an executed agreement in place.

Public-Sector and Procurement Alignment

ClearNord's DPA framework is designed to meet:

• Norwegian public-sector procurement expectations
• Requirements commonly imposed by kommuner, direktorater, and ministries
• EEA-wide GDPR obligations

Documentation will be provided as part of procurement processes, onboarding, or contractual discussions.

Transparency and Updates

This page will be updated when ClearNord launches operational services and begins processing customer data.

Any published DPA will reflect current legal requirements and ClearNord's operational scope at that time.
